UAA student stretches legal experience

Trustees intern seeks a legal career

Madeleine is an undergraduate student at the University of Alaska Anchorage working on a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Studies. Madeleine is interning at Trustees for Alaska to learn about various environmental issues and the laws that govern them. She has her sights set on obtaining a law degree in British Columbia, Canada, concentrating on environmental law and sustainability.

Gymnastics scholarship brought her to UAA

Madeleine came to Alaska on a gymnastics scholarship three years ago and loves all the beauty the state has to offer. She is most interested in renewable energy and clean water rights. When she is not at the gym or hitting the books she enjoys hiking, taking pictures, and cooking.

Madeleine recently made the news for her gymnastics and scholastic accomplishments.
