Seward Coal Case Reaches Settlement

Settlement was reached in the Seward Coal Loading Facility’s violation of the Clean Water Act lawsuit brought by Trustees for Alaska for Alaska Community Action on Toxics and the Alaska Chapter of the Sierra Club.

Press Release: Seward Coal Case Settled

After six years of litigation, the Seward Coal Loading Facility case has settled. The Facility will get a Clean Water Act permit, clean up its operations, and pay for conservation projects in the Seward area through the Kachemak Heritage Land Bank.
