Join Giving Tuesday to protect the wild

Join in on #givingTuesday to protect the wildGiving Tuesday started in 2012 as a way to respond to the commercialism and consumerism of “Cyber Monday” and “Black Friday” by encouraging people to contribute to social, environmental, and other causes. In fact, giving might just be the key to happiness.

When you give to Trustees, you can count on your support going toward legal services that protect Alaska’s lands, waters, wildlife and people. Here’s a few reasons our board members volunteer and donate to Trustees.

From Marlyn Twitchell

“Growing up in Juneau, I developed an early appreciation for Alaska’s unique beauty and vast wilderness. Throughout my personal and professional life, I have strived to be a voice for Alaska. Trustees strengthens that voice by upholding our conservation laws in court for the benefit of us all—now and for future generations. I am proud to volunteer as a Board Member and provide financial support because I know Trustees has a proven track record and gets results. I hope you will join me by making a gift to Trustees now.”

From Tom Meacham

“As a natural resource attorney who has been practicing law in Alaska since 1971, I volunteer my time as a Board Member and provide financial support to Trustees for Alaska because Alaska needs homegrown allies who work to protect and defend Alaska’s wild places, wildlife, and communities. Their competent and experienced staff provide thorough and free legal analysis and counsel to coalitions and clients across Alaska. I hope you will join me by making a gift to Trustees now.”

Jerry Liboff’s appeal

A commercial fisherman for over 40 years, Jerry knows why he served on the Trustees board for 12 years and continues to donate. “If we want healthy salmon runs in another hundred years from now, and hundreds of years after that, we need keep the watershed pristine, the water clean, and the fish healthy.”
